Trans* Spectrum - Windsor

Description

Trans* Spectrum is a discussion group developed by, and for, trans* people: binary, non-binary, and others alike. The goals of Trans* Spectrum are to:

  1. offer trans* people support in their transitions and/or life experiences, whatever form these may take;
  2. provide trans* people with a safe space that actively challenges the gender policing, transphobia, transmisogyny, and cis-normativity ubiquitous within current, local society;
  3. inspire trans* people to develop, maintain, and use their voice to advocate for themselves and causes they believe in; and
  4. allow trans* people to meet, and build a sense of community with, people similar to themselves.

To best accomplish these goals, Trans* Spectrum seeks to reduce any duplication of services by working in partnership with organizations providing service in or around the trans* communities.

In working with these community partners, we hope to offer Trans* Spectrum members resources and referrals to trans* positive spaces that would better meet their individual needs, as well as encourage existing services to better serve the trans* communities.
