This is a great opportunity not only to be part of a discussion about queer experiences in law but also to hear from lawyers with experience in a range of fields. OUTLaws will be hosting a gathering before the panel discussion and a post-panel reception. There will be food provided! Our panelists for the 2018 OUTLawyers panel are:   Margaret Capes: Review Counsel at CLS, Adjunct Professor at Western Law, and Legal Education Coordinator for the non-profit Community Law School (Sarnia-Lambton) Inc.   Bayly Guslits: Associate with the Family Law Practice Group at Harrison Pensa.   Nicole Nussbaum: a Staff Lawyer with Legal Aid Ontario (Duty Counsel – Family Law) with a background in employment and human rights law, who is also a strong Trans advocate in law, advocacy, and policy work. Giselle Basanta: Senior Legal Counsel at Ryerson University, with substantial public sector experience and over 15 years of experience in the areas of administrative and education law, management, privacy, and governance. Wade Wright: Assistant Professor at Western Law, whose primary areas of research interest are Canadian and comparative constitutional law, with a focus on federalism, shared and dialogic theories of constitutional interpretation, and extrajudicial constitutionalism. He also has active research interests in administrative law, Crown (government) liability, and law and sexuality. Each panelist brings with them a wealth of diverse experience that would be impossible to capture in an event description, so we encourage you to review their online profiles.
