Come out to hear about changes to the Employment Standards Act for 2018 and how folks in the LGBTQ2SIA+ community are protected by the Ontario Human Rights Code. There will be time to talk about tips for protecting yourself in employment situations, including interviews, and for strategic resume writing. A Q&A session will be part of the workshop so that you can ask questions or get general advice about how to protect yourself. The workshop will be led by Cameron Kroetsch, Director of Operations for a labour relations firm in Hamilton, and Sarah Molyneaux, a Hamilton-based labour lawyer whose practice focuses on issues of workplace discrimination and harassment. Light refreshments (sandwiches, desserts, and drinks) will be provided. Please register in advance, confirming any allergies/food preferences.
