August 3rd 1990, a young boy met some fabulous drag queens and they shaved him down and put him in heels. "You look like Tracy Turnblad/Ricki Lake! That should be your drag name." the queens said. "No. I'd rather be something unique." said the young boy. "OK then, be Darienne Lake. Ricki Lake's love child with the amusement park outside Buffalo, NY." replied the queens. "Well, I am two tons of fun." the young boy giggled. "But I shall spell it Miss Darienne Lake, so I don't get a cease and desist order from the amusement park." That, boys, girls and everything in between, is how Miss Darienne Lake was born.   MORGAN MCMICHAELS Thomas White made his grand debut on May 28th, 1981 in Alexandria, Scotland. As a child, Thomas was known for his effervescent personality and kindness to others, something that has carried into adulthood. In 2001, Thomas began his drag career as a joke, but quickly discovered how impactful being a drag performer could be to the LGBTQ community. Fueled by a passion for the art of drag, an activist voice and impressed with the work of others, Thomas developed his stage persona, Morgan McMichaels. Morgan is a consummate performer, she knows how to work a crowd and is a favorite among the Southern California drag scene. Morgan is best known for her chameleon like ability to become anyone she seeks to emulate and is known for her portrayals of Pink, Joan Collins, Boy George, and David Bowie. Morgan competed in Ru Paul’s Drag Race Season 2 and All Stars Season 3, while she did not win either competition, she quickly became a fan favorite known for her sass, competitive nature, talent and authenticity. Morgan’s work ethic and drive to be the best has opened many doors, including the opportunity to perform alongside Lady Gaga, P!nk, Joan Collins and Lisa Rinna and to be featured on Wow Presents, Drag U, Bravo Television, Entertainment Tonight, and Germany’s Next Top Model.
