IDAHOT 2018 Performers

QueerEvents.ca - IDAHOT2018 Performer - KateChanner

Kate Channer

Kate Channer will be performing live at IDAHOT! With Kate's unique rock n roll vocals, the talent and experience she possesses along with a commanding stage presence and a simple love of performing together, the Kate Channer Band produces a musical experience that transcends the sum of their respective talents into a musical experience with broad appeal.

Nominated for the Jack Richardson London Music Award for Fan Favourite for 2018, the Kate Channer Band will take the listener on a journey from pop to soul and even country, with stops at all points in between. Kate's original music is magnetically melodic, while cover songs always include a pinch of their own “spice” to refresh and peak interest.

Don't miss this opportunity to catch Kate Channer live!

QueerEvents.ca - IDAHOT2018 Performer - Nico Lavender

Nico Lavender

2018 Pride London Festival Ambassador Nico Lavender is a singer and drag performer. She’s a campy, overdrawn character best described by her creator, Joel Grace, as “an intergalactic crystal gazing witch and a vessel for channeling divine femininity.” The character of Nico grew out of the 2015 London Fringe play, as well as Joel’s teenage obsessions with Kids in the Hall, David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, and James St. James. Nico Lavender’s shows are filled with colour, emotion, and catchy sound bites from films and TV shows, weaving theatrical narratives through costume, makeup, performance, and music. A regular entertainer at Lavish Nightclub where she holds monthly drag shows, Nico can also be found performing throughout the city and southwestern Ontario.
